THE FOUNDERS
(Rehabilitation Specialization)
I am Rittika Dutta, a Rehabilitation Psychologist and Co-Founder of Starpsychee. With postgraduate training in Applied Psychology, Counselling Psychology and Rehabilitation Psychology (RCI), I am committed to making psychological support more accessible, compassionate and meaningful.
My work involves supporting individuals through a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, addiction-related concerns, relationship difficulties, emotional challenges and significant life transitions. I provide psychological counselling, psychotherapy, psychological assessments and psychoeducational support, while maintaining a strong focus on confidentiality, professional ethics and individual needs. I also have experience working with neurodivergent individuals, providing psychological support tailored to their unique needs, strengths and lived experiences.
Over the course of my professional journey, I have completed 800+ hours of specialised training in psychotherapy and counselling and have supported 400+ clients across diverse psychological and counselling settings. My professional training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy(DBT), trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness and other evidence-informed therapeutic approaches.
I don't believe therapy should follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person has a different history, personality, environment and way of experiencing their challenges. I therefore take a person-centred and individualised approach, combining psychological frameworks with practical strategies that are relevant to your unique circumstances and goals.
(COUNSELLING PSYCHOLOGIST
&
CAREER COUNSELLOR)
Hi! I’m Subarna Karmakar, a psychologist with a BA in Psychology and an MA in Applied Psychology.
Over the years, I have continued to develop my skills through training and certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Career Counselling, and Mindfulness practices.
As a counsellor, I work with individuals who may be struggling with anxiety, emotional difficulties, relationship concerns, self-esteem, life transitions, trauma, or career-related decisions.
I believe that every person experiences their struggles differently, which is why I try to understand the person behind the problem rather than focusing only on the problem itself.
My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic techniques with empathy, patience, and a client-centred perspective. I aim to create a space where you can talk openly, at your own pace, and work towards understanding yourself and finding ways to cope with what you are going through.
I also provide career guidance and mindfulness-based support, helping individuals navigate important decisions, manage stress, and develop greater clarity about themselves and their future.
And you don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out.
Sometimes, taking the first step simply means saying, *“I’m not sure what’s going on, but I know I’m struggling.”* And that is enough.
You don’t have to go through it alone. We can take it one step at a time.
FOUNDERS WORKING BEYOND THE THERAPY ROOM
